Overview:

Climate change is one of, if not, the most significant challenges facing all of us today. Advocates & experts are warning of the need for real radical action now or our lives, businesses and economies will be significantly impacted and maybe even irreparably so. It has been said that the insurance industry is in a "unique position" to help tackle climate change but why is that and what does that mean? In this session we break this down and we explore the challenges and opportunities facing the industry in this space.

Kerris is a compliance professional with 9 years’ experience in highly regulated environments in a variety of roles.
With 5 years’ experience in compliance and governance positions across insurance and fundraising.

she chose compliance as her specialism as she enjoys topics that require critical thinking, ethical consideration, interpretation of regulation/legislation, and that offer challenge in an environment subject to change.

Her knowledge and experience coupled with her passion and approach to compliance as a collaborative cross-organisational function, moving away from compliance as a “tick box exercise”, has helped shape and support organisations to succeed whilst still offering protection from financial and reputational damage.

Training, learning and development and offering guidance on complicated topics in simple understandable terms has always been her favourite part of previous roles, and she is passionate about sharing her knowledge, experience, and expertise to allow others to develop and grow.
