Autumn Members Event

The PFS Lancashire, Merseyside & Cumbria regional committee and the Chartered Insurance Institute of Preston & Blackpool are delighted to have joined forces to bring to you our Two-Part Autumn Members’ event in Preston.

Our morning session will cater for our financial planning professionals. Clare Fleming will join us from Harrison Drury to discuss ‘Lasting Powers or Attorney - The Benefits and Pitfalls’. Royal London’s Nathan Douse brings us ‘Inheritance Tax Planning using Regular Premium Protection Policies’, covering specifically Whole of Life (Guaranteed & Reviewable) policies and Rysaffe Planning. To complete our morning session, Chief Investment Officer of Tatton Asset Management, Lothar Mentel, will talk us through the likely direction of global capital markets over the coming 6 months.

All members are invited to join us for a delicious networking lunch, followed by our afternoon session, which is designed to appeal to both financial planning and general insurance professionals. Public Speaking Trainer with Project Charisma, Ed Darling, will explain ‘How to Overcome Nerves and Harness the Power of Public Speaking’ and Steven Smith of Business Doctors will help us to identify and deal with ‘The Myths and Realities of Change’.

Coffee will precede our final speaker of the day, David Scales of Hamilton Bond and Marsh UK, who will talk to us about the real cost of underinsurance. Financial planning members are welcome to stay for this final session or can choose to leave after the coffee break.

We look forward to welcoming members to one or both sessions.
