Insurance Institute of Bournemouth has joined Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Industry as a Business Associate Member

The Insurance Institute of Bournemouth (IIB) has joined the Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) as a Business Associate Member. The IIB is part of the Chartered Insurance Institute, representing the local insurance profession and financial advisers concentrated in the Bournemouth and Poole area as well as other areas of Dorset.

The DCCI and the IIB will work together to publicise each other’s events through their online platforms as appropriate. There will be an annual joint event organised by the two bodies along with many opportunities for IIB members to attend networking events hosted by DCCI. The IIB will also benefit from receiving relevant information on business and economic policies which is channelled through their accredited chamber, the British Chambers of Commerce.

Ian Girling, Chief Executive of the DCCI stated that “our new Business Association Membership is designed for professional, established not-for-profit organisations such as the IIB and we are delighted to welcome them as a new member”.

Alan Boyce, President of the IIB said “this is an excellent opportunity for the IIB to work with the DCCI and the first example of this is our joint sponsorship of the Bank of England economic briefing which will be held at 8:00 am on Thursday 10th March at the Hotel Miramar in Bournemouth”.

The speaker is Andrew Holder who is the Bank of England Deputy Agent for Central Southern England and he will give his overview and outlook on the UK economy in a 30 minute presentation after which there will be an opportunity for delegates to participate in a question and answer session.
