The Insurance Institute of Aberdeen would like to invite you to a Face to Face CPD event with the CII's Learning and Assessment Director, Gill White. Gill will be covering two important areas of the developing learning landscape in the profession at this time:
The Professional Map
In this session, Gill will look at the CII's new Professional Map and what it can do to help you and your business.
Learning Objectives

Understand how the Professional Map was created, designed with subject matter experts and how it will change CII and PFS qualifications and CPD

Understand how to conduct a self-diagnostic against the knowledge skills and behaviours

Be able to walk colleagues and your organisation through the purpose and use of the Professional Maps
Further World of Work (The Robots Are Coming!)
In this session, Gill will consider the opportunities and challenges faced across the profession as we learn to work more closely with machines in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Learning Objectives

Be introduced to a model that could assist thinking in augmenting roles alongside leveraging all that machine learning has to offer

Familiarisation with innovative case studies from the financial and insurance sectors; which might then form the basis of exploring possibilities with their own organisations

Be able to articulate ways in which artificial Intelligence could benefit their working environment - far beyond great analytics and prediction
Scotland's Magician
We will also be joined for the session by Scott (Scotland's Magician) who will provide the opportunity for attendees to learn something different as part of the proceedings.
Details
The session will take place at the Four Mile Hotel, Aberdeen on Wednesday 28th September 2022 from 0900 to 1200.
Coffee and Tea will be available on arrival and during breaks.
A light lunch will be provided after for those who have attended.
Spaces at this session are very limited and early booking is advised.
Presenter - Gill White
Gill joined CII in Jan 2020 as Learning and Assessment Director; her remit was to take all the learning content forwards so it is future fit to meet the Profession’s needs in an ever-changing world of work. In August 2020 Gill was promoted to Chief Customer Officer taking on International and UK Sales channels, marketing, customer insight and propositions as well as qualifications, learning and Assessment.
Previously Gill was Business and Markets Development Director for the CIPD 2012-2019, where her role covered all Commercial Enterprises, Business Development, Learning Content and the International areas.
Gill delivers speeches and workshops as part of her role around the world, talking about Learning and Development, Artificial Intelligence & its impact on the workplace, Leadership, Strategic Alignment and Behavioural Science
Prior to working for the CIPD, Gill held a variety of Head of L&D roles at Vodafone, Xchanging and SSP and Operational roles, such as MD of the consultancy IDology; Regional Operations manager for Whitbread, Greenall’s and Vodafone.
Gill holds the prestigious Chartered Director status, one of only 1,800 in the UK; a Master’s programme delivered and awarded by the Institute of Directors. She is also a Fellow of both the IOD and CIPD. Gill’s main passion beyond learning and behavioural science remains her love of wine, something she studied to degree level when working in the trade – never happier than reading a book on the brain accompanied by a nice Pinot Noir!
Entertainment - Scotland's Magician
Scott has been a full-time professional performer for 20 years. His client list reads like a who’s who of the business world, and includes BP, Shell, Microsoft, GlaxoSmithKline, Novartis, Pfizer, UEFA, BAA, De La Rue Currency, Hilton Hotels, Gleneagles and many more - he has even been magical advisor and producer for Jeremy Beadle on live TV.
A 2 time winner of the Scottish Conjurers Association Close-up Magician of the Year, and member of the Magic Circle, Scott prides himself on his ability to perform anywhere for anyone.
