Invesco Investment Intelligence Seminar
Introduction
Aberdeen was not included as a venue for the next round of the Invesco Investment Intelligence Seminars. However, due to demand from our members we have worked with Colin Ryding, Regional Sales Manager at Invesco, to have an Aberdeen seminar added.
Anyone who has attended the Invesco seminars before will know there are few better than Neal Bailey in making sense of the investment landscape and now more than ever we all need help with that I am sure.

Standing Apart
Near-term forecasts for the UK economy have been downgraded more severely than for those of other countries. In this presentation we look at the UK’s unique situation and what this means for its near-term economic growth outlook.
Despite the forecasts the FTSE 100 has been one of the strongest performers year-to-date; we’ll review why this is and explore why the attributes of value stocks, especially relative to those of growth stocks, have come into vogue recently.
A pertinent angle to this has been the position of central banks in their fight against inflation. As inflation remains a key topic for you we will also provide an update on the impact of inflation and its likely progression from here.
Learning Objectives
- Gain perspective of the near-term outlook for the UK economy
- Understand the factors of the growth versus value trade
- Review the prospects and consequences of the current inflation environment.
