Making network work by Lee Warren (PFS event) 11 March 2020 09.30-13.00

Tilsworth Golf and Conference Centre
Wednesday, 11 March 2020
9:30 am – 1:00 pm (UK time)

Overview:-

Almost all businesses will say that ‘word of mouth’ is crucial to their sales and business development, and everyone knows that having a strong network is key to personal and professional success. And yet almost no business has a ‘Networking Strategy’ for growth, and most people dread the idea of actively networking.

This highly-interactive keynote/seminar gives the audience key skills in two areas - face-to-face networking, and learning how to grow a network strategically. We cover all those areas of personal networking that so many people find difficult - meeting strangers, having interesting conversations, remembering names, and crucially - knowing when and how to move on! And we look at being strategic - using online tools and clear and easy structures to stay in touch and grow a thriving and powerful network.

Learning Objectives

By attending this event, delegates will learn:

• Learning why networking is so important for business growth
• How to create a strategic approach to networking
• Preparing for a networking event
• Learning ‘in the room skills’ such as creating rapport, remembering names and how to move on from conversations
• The importance of follow-up and how to do it
• How to deal with different ‘personality types’ and awkward conversations
• Networking online - creating a ‘brand’
• Finding networking opportunities (and avoiding the time-wasting ones)
