23 March 2022 - Join us for a live Yoga at your Desk session with Liz Willis (Part 2)
Yoga at your desk is great for anyone who spends a lot of time at their desks, either at home or in an office. This series of 2 classes will start with a general overview, with the subsequent session targeting specific areas - shoulders, hips and back.
By attending these sessions, participants will be able to:
- practise ways of releasing tension and tight muscles that can occur when sitting at a desk for long periods of time
- learn how to release stress by using breathing techniques (pranayama)
- engage in stretching and relaxation to both stimulate and release.
Suitable for all levels and abilities, these sessions are accessible to all. Pick up tips and hints to release stress & incorporate exercise into your daily work routine, whilst you are sitting at your desk.
Please ensure you have the following set up ahead of class:
- Laptop/ screen big enough to see Liz
- A strong firm chair such as a dining chair
- Space – an arm span distance around you, and enough room to straighten your legs in front
- Wear – comfortable clothing that is easy to move in
- A bottle of water
- A cushion or folded towel or blanket or a yoga block (optional)
- Pen & paper if you want to make a note of anything
