Getting involved
What can you do?
Getting involved includes being an ambassador for your office to promote our event, a member of one of our committees that concentrate on a specific element of our activities or part of the main Council who set the direction of the Institute. You may be looking to give something back to the community, gain another skill or looking to broaden your network; these are a few of the reasons why people get involved. We welcome people from any area of insurance or financial services and you don't need to be a CII member or work in a technical role. We have insurers, brokers, loss adjusters, marketing professionals and solicitors to name a few, from companies of all sizes.
We also have a thriving Young Professionals Team and would encourage anyone who has only recently entered the industry or in the early part of their career to join up and get involved. The YP Team provides a very valuable social network of contacts within the Insurance Institute and to other professional organisations in the City. Check out the YP pages on this site for more details.
We are always keen to talk to anyone who is interested in being part of our local institute; if any of the above sounds good to you, please email birminghaminstitute@cii.co.uk and we can give you more information and talk about the best fit for you.
