Lunchtime Lecture: Out of Vnuk - The Implications of the Vnuk Decision

This talk will be given by David Holt of Weightmans LLP

David Holt, Head of Weightmans' large loss and technical claims team will talk on the implications of the Vnuk decision.

David specialises in catastrophic injury claims and in MIB claims. He is lead strategic legal advisor to MIB and has been involved in the negotiation between MIB and the government over the Uninsured and Untraced Agreements.

lecture objectives:

  • Explain the framework of the Motor Insurance Directives
  • Consider what Vnuk says and what this means for the UK, particularly for insurers and MIB
  • Outline the options going forward - how best to address the Vnuk decision

Time: 12.30pm Buffet lunch; 1pm Lecture
