P05/M05 Insurance Law Revision Day
Rod Smith FCII FCILA, CII-Accredited Advanced Technical Trainer will run this full day training course
Insurance Law is a mandatory unit required to complete the Diploma in Insurance qualification.
To assist members who are studying for their Insurance Law unit, we have arranged for a CII trainer to provide an in-depth revision session covering the main aspects of the subject.
CII revision courses provide expert tutor support ahead of the exam and are designed to improve your chances of passing.
Courses enable you to:
- Explore the syllabus in detail
- Clarify areas of concern in the syllabus
- Discover what the examiner is looking for
- Discuss common mistakes and how to avoid them

By attending this course, delegates will learn about:
- Common Law, Equity & Statute and how laws are created
- Legal Persons – who can insure, sue and be sued?
- The origins & principles of old and new insurance law, including Disclosure & Interest
- Principles of tort, contract, agency, indemnity, subrogation & contribution
- Identify and learn to recall and use key legal precedents & statutes
- Tactics for effective study, written work, exams and suggested further reading, plus…
- any other areas troubling delegates!
Rod is a Director at Claims Consultancy Ltd, having formed the business in 2001. Prior to this role, he worked for Property and Casualty Services and played a fundamental role in setting up the company’s European operation.
There will be a maximum of 12 attendees to ensure that those attending gain the maximum benefit from the day. When booking please advise if you are taking the P05 or M05 exam (in the 'special requirements' box).
