Overview:

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will be enforced from 25 May 2018 and is set to change data protection law as we know it. This talk will set out what you need to do now to plan a commericially sound approach to GDPR compliance.

Learning Outcomes:

Delegates will have a clear understanding of the risks and costs associated with managing data effectively and ensuring colleagues and employees understand their obligations.

Speaker Biography:

Mark is a barrister and partner at the national law firm, Browne Jacobson LLP. He heads the firm's privacy and cyber-security team, specialising in data protection, privacy, cyber-security and freedom of information. He has almost 20 years' experience of advising on regulatory, compliance and strategic data issues including data breach, loyalty, marketing, monetisation, innovation and international matters. Mark's practice encompasses non-contentious, contentious and regulatory data privacy.

Time: 12.30pm Buffet lunch; 1pm Lecture; 2pm Finish

Lectures are provided free of charge to CII/PFS members. A £15.00 charge is made for non-members attending the lecture payable at the time of booking (Please note: If payment is not made at the time of booking online, kindly advise in the special requirements box your method of payment, e.g. cheque to follow in post).
