The Insurance Charities is the charity for the UK and Irish insurance industry, providing support for current and former insurance employees and their dependents since 1902. They give over £1.2 million of help to insurance people in need each year.
The charity has recently launched an exciting new partnership with the Alzheimer's Society, which means they can fast track insurance people affected by dementia to the support and advice they need via the Alzheimer's Society.
As part of this initiative the Birmingham area has been chosen to deliver a pilot that will enable those working in the insurance sector to volunteer their time locally to those affected by dementia by phone or through face-to-face contact.
This exciting new initiative means the sector can help develop their skills through volunteering opportunities, and more of those suffering with Alzheimer's can benefit from increased support in their communities.
The Insurance Charities looks forward to telling you more about this unique partnership and opportunities for insurance professionals in the Birmingham area.
