Lunchtime Lecture: Products or presents? Monetising claims data - Including an update on the Civil Liability Bill

Wednesday, 12 February 2020
12:30 pm – 2:00 pm (UK time)
    • James Harvey, Partner and Head of Office, BLM Law

Insurers, brokers and lawyers sit on huge repositories of data. But how do you put it to work and deliver value amid competing priorities.

This session will explore the art of the possible, as business navigate between options ranging from:

  • Giving data and related services away to build relationships
  • Driving internal efficiencies with analytics and technology
  • Creating new revenue generating products and services

Within this framework organisations need to access and structure their data, decide on their priorities and build teams and infrastructure to deliver.

Can you have your data cake and eat it? No-one has all the answers in this fast moving area, but this session will help you to ask the right questions in a market where every new products seems to be artificially intelligent.
