All Adds up for Yellows’ New Auditors
Yellow Buses has appointed new auditors as the locally-run transport company continues its transition from corporate ownership. The Bournemouth-based bus company has taken on long established Dorset accountancy and financial services firm Ward Goodman.
Ferndown-based Ward Goodman, which was selected after a rigorous and competitive tendering process, is a leading provider of financial services, with three offices across Dorset.
This follows the appointment of Noel Smith as the Yellows’ new Financial Director to join the management team of David Squire, Managing Director, Simon Newport, Commercial Director and Phil Pannell, Service Delivery Director.
Mr Squire said, “We are particularly pleased that as a locally owned and managed company, we have been able to appoint a local provider to assist us with our business needs and provide the annual audit. “It is vital that we remain utterly transparent in all financial matters and the presence of Ward Goodman will ensure we are running correctly and efficiently. “We look forward to a long and fruitful relationship with our new associates as we continue to drive the business onwards to a bright future.”
Mr Smith added: “We are delighted to welcome Ward Goodman, a firm with an excellent reputation in the industry, on board to provide us with auditing, tax and finance advice.”
Chartered Accountant Ian Rodd, Managing Director of Ward Goodman, has 25 years’ experience of advising businesses of all sizes across many sectors. He said: “As one of Dorset’s leading independent providers of audit services to owner-managed businesses, we appreciate the opportunity to work with this talented leadership team at Yellow Buses and to help propel them toward a successful future.”
