Lunchtime CPD - November 2017 - Errors and Omissions Insurance
Event Overview
Insurance brokers’ errors and omissions insurance covers the cost of defending and paying claims made against the insured broker which arise in the conduct of their professional business.
Accordingly, claims capable of coverage invariably materialise from alleged breaches of the broker’s professional duties.
As lawyers who are frequently instructed to assess brokers’ liability exposure, Alex and Nick will outline the coverage afforded by a typical E&O policy, explain the scope of a broker’s professional duties with some claims examples, and give some practical pointers on both minimising the risk of facing a claim and mitigating losses once a claim has been lodged.
Speakers

Nick Benson: Solicitor, BLM
