Summer Networking Event

Following last year's success, the IIB invites you to our third annual Summer Networking Event, (hopefully) enjoying a drink in the sun! We have reserved both indoor and outdoor spaces at Armada House with exclusive use of their brand new roof terrace. Welcome drinks are provided and entry is free, but there is limited space so please RSVP ASAP.

VULNERABLE CUSTOMERS

The FCA have found following a thematic review that vulnerable customers are often not treated fairly. In fact, many Insurers pricing models have taken significant advantage of these customers, often the more vulnerable the customer the more the insurer has loaded rates at renewal. Some of the UK's largest institutions have been guilty of proactively targeting these individuals and the regulator has had enough of Insurers and brokers balancing their books on the most vulnerable in our society.

President's Message

I'm honoured and delighted to have been elected as the President of the Insurance Institute of Bristol for the next 12 months.

I'm following in the footsteps of many excellent Past Presidents who have made an enormous contribution to the Chartered Insurance Institute, the Insurance Institute of Bristol and the Insurance and Financial Services industry as a whole and I am looking forward to making my small contribution.

I have an excellent Deputy in Joshua Chapman and a superb and talented Council working with me and I am confident of their full support going forward.

My designated charity is the NSPCC and I would ask all members to try and support this absolutely worthwhile and valuable charity in any way they are able.
