Apprenticeship Facebook Live Streams (1)
The 10th National Apprenticeship Week in March brought together employers and apprentices from across England to celebrate the success of apprenticeships over the last decade to encourage even more people to choose apprenticeships as a fast-track to a great career.
The Chartered Insurance Institute combined leading insurers, students and apprentices in a speed networking event to mark National Apprenticeships Week.
Caspar Bartington, CII education relationship manager, and organiser of the events, said: "Ahead of the implementation of the apprenticeship levy in April, we have brought together students, apprentices and insurers to show the value of these schemes and how they offer a great route into fantastic careers without having to go to university. We wanted to show students and parents alike that apprenticeships are a viable option and to give them the opportunity to speak to apprentices and ask questions before embarking on that route. It is exciting that so many leading insurers have decided to take part to raise awareness."
Other events hosted during the week include two Facebook Live events hosted by MTV presenter Maya Jama and a talk at Greenford High School in London for around 150 parents to discover whether an apprenticeship may be a good opportunity for their children.
