GDPR - 18 months on
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which is now part of the new Data Protection Act 2018 is having wide ramifications for all firms within the insurance sector and society as a whole. This presentation is a plain English look at how to be GDPR compliant. It is delivered very much from an insurance sector perspective, with appropriate relevant insurance examples being provided.
Many companies have unnecessarily restricted their business activities due to wrong interpretation of the GDPR - this presentation provides examples of how to be compliant but still successfully contact customers.
The presentation also looks at how the regulators are interpreting this act and some of the cases that have occurred since the introduction of the GDPR.
