FCA Focus on Culture and Behaviour in General Insurance

This comprehensive and interactive webinar will focus on the various FCA statements and publications setting out the revised supervisory agenda for general insurance intermediaries and will cover FCA expectations, press coverage (incl Bloomberg’s findings), assessment of culture, changing behaviour, the key role of senior managers, individual staff conduct rules and how chartered status can help.

The FCA believe that customers are buying unsuitable or poor value products; that insufficient or unclear information is being provided at point of sale and inappropriate sales tactics are the biggest contributors of customer harm and improvements in firms’ cultures, governance and oversight arrangements will ultimately drive the change that they require. This event will focus on the culture part of the equation.

This talk is very much interactive and those attending will be encouraged to share their thoughts and experiences on the route to cultural maturity, motivators and what a good and healthy culture looks like.

Learning Objectives - by the end of this event delegates will have gained an insight into:

  • What the FCA expect.
  • What firms can do embrace the challenge.
  • Why engagement is essential.
