Houses of Parliament & Lloyds of London Guided Tour Day!

London, UK
Wednesday, 19 February 2025
10:00 am – 4:15 pm (UK time)
FULLY BOOKED

The IIB invites you to our second annual Lloyds of London tour! Only this year, we’ve gone bigger and better!

As well as a tour of Lloyds, we will also get the benefit of a guided tour of the Houses of Parliament, covering the House of Commons, House of Lords and Westminster Hall. Guides will be using microphones which will transmit to headsets provided to all attendees and which can also be used with hearing loops.

Following this, we will make our way over to Lloyds of London where you will experience a visit to the Underwriting Room with an explanation of how the Lloyd’s Market operates, the history of Lloyd’s, the Loss Book, the Lutine Bell and Nelson Collection. Visitors will also travel in the external lifts to see the Adam Room (provided this is open on the day) and other historical details.

The cost of both tours will be covered by the Bristol Institute; however, all travel costs will be down to the individual. As we are anticipating the majority of attendees will be travelling by train, an email group will be created for members to discuss meeting up as well as for sending the details of meeting points and timetables for the day itself (as well as potentially a couple of cheeky selfies of the IIB Council members to look out for on the day).

Security information, as well as luggage restrictions will be sent out ahead of the tour day in order that any queries or concerns can be addressed by the IIB Council members supporting on the day.

The tour day will be open to 26 members, which will be split into two separate tour groups ahead of the event. There will be opportunities for grabbing food on the day, but it is recommended that snacks also be brought from home as we will be holding our UK Parliament tour during typical lunchtime hours.

So what are you waiting for?! Book a ticket to secure your place!
