The award is presented to a young person in the Cambridge community who has made great progress in their career through outstanding professional development both in study and contribution to the work place.

The nomination form for 2019 can be downloaded here.

Award

Introduced in 2016 by past CII President Tom Davidson, the award is presented at the annual dinner in December. This award is kindly supported by Employment Specialists Ltd.

We are inviting nominations from all employers in the Cambridge area for any person, whether they are an institute member or not, under the age of 35 as of 31st December 2019.

The nomination can be made by anyone in a company and should be made via the nomination form.

The closing date for nominations is 31st October 2019. The adjudication of the award will be made at a meeting of the Cambridge institute council; the decision of the council is final.

The award will be presented to the winner at the Insurance Institute of Cambridge Annual Dinner, which takes place on 13th December 2019. The winner will receive:

  • The accolade of becoming the young achiever of the year
  • £200 contribution to their ongoing professional development through CII supported study
  • Free ticket to the Cambridge Annual Dinner

Three runners up will also receive:

  • £100 towards CII supported study
  • Free ticket to the Cambridge Annual Dinner

There are some very talented people in our area and this award is an excellent opportunity for local companies to recognise the hard work and dedication of some of their younger employees.

Entries from all local employers, large or small, are welcomed. So if you know someone deserving of recognition, let us know!

- Successfully participated in a community-based project that brings the insurance profession into good repute, or

- Has made a significant contribution to the success of their team with a performance which considerably exceeds the expectations normally associated with someone of their age and experience.
