Overview of webinar
The webinar will be presented by Alan Chandler, one of the most popular speakers in the UK. Alan will, in his usual plain English style, go through what risks are covered by insurance and what risks are not. He will then explain the structure of the UK insurance industry including exploring the roles of brokers, underwriters, and claims staff. The six main legal principles of insurance will be covered which are insurable interest, duty not to misrepresent/fair presentation of risk, proximate cause, indemnity, subrogation, and contribution. The presentation will end up covering the role of regulation within insurance.
