This webinar looks to provide an overview of the history of regulation within the UK insurance industry, who are the main regulators, how do they regulate and why regulation is so essential.

The presentation will examine the principle-based approach to regulation put in place by the UK regulators and how this differs from rules based regulation in many other countries. it will also look at the main aspects of regulation including fair treatment for customer, ICOBS, training and competence requirements and solvency margins.
