I am deeply honoured to have been elected as the President of the Insurance Institute of Cardiff for this year. It is a privilege to hold this position, and I am truly fortunate to work alongside such an incredible team. Their dedication and support will no doubt make this year a huge success and a joy to be a part of. I eagerly anticipate the many opportunities we have to serve and support our local members this year.

My journey with the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) began nine years ago when I was invited to join Novus, the young professionals group of the Insurance Institute of Cardiff. Novus has been one of our most significant achievements, continuously thriving and contributing new members to the Institute.

As someone with a background in personal finance, I have always championed the interests of Personal Finance Society (PFS) members within the Insurance Institute of Cardiff. It is a rare privilege for a PFS member to lead our local CII region, and I am committed to using this opportunity to enhance and strengthen the relationship between the CII and PFS at the local level. We have numerous collaborative events planned for this year, and I hope to see increased participation from PFS members at CII events.

This year, my chosen charity is Cardiff Mind. Mental health issues touch us all, and I aim to raise awareness of Cardiff Mind's exceptional work among our CII members and the wider community. We have several collaborative events planned to provide training for our members and to raise funds for this worthy cause at each of our social events throughout the year.
