Novus - Cyber seminar & networking

Our 2nd Novus event was a massive success and a sell-out!!

The evening saw the chance to network with a range up and coming young professionals in Cardiff, plus a great interactive discussion on cyber risks - combining education with networking - and was perfect for after work on a Thursday!

This exclusive Novus networking event, saw not just for local CII members but young professionals from across the local business community as we joined up with leading international law firm DAC Beachcroft. Tom Bedford & Michael Duncan of DAC Beachcroft gave an interactive, and really useful update on Cyber and the risks it poses at present.

Mark Slade, Novus Chair opened and the event, and following the Cyber discussion Greg Edwards, Novus Events Secretary hosted a fun networking activity!

The event was a great chance for like-minded business people to come together in a relaxed and friendly environment, with Mark commenting: ‘Our idea was to arrange a social event with an educational aspect that would both benefit our members’ personal development and allow them to network with other professionals from an array of business sectors. We were delighted with the attendance and a big thanks to DAC Beachcroft for their support and an insightful outlook on Cyber risks.’

The event was a sell-out and had excellent feedback. Greg summed up the success of the event by saying ‘It was refreshing to see a range of young professionals networking, exchanging experiences and getting to know one another. We’ve had really positive feedback and we have some really exciting ideas and opportunities around our next event.’
