The Insurance Institute of Cardiff invite you to a webinar on Wellbeing and health in the remote and hybrid environment

Event Details

Wednesday 8th September 2021 10:30 - 11:30

The webinar will be run via Zoom, a global web-conferencing solution. Zoom is easy to use, a link and joining instructions will be sent to you prior to the webinar.

About the session:

In March 2020 organisations and their employees had to shift rapidly and unexpectedly from primarily office-based working, to working remotely from home. Whilst many have enjoyed avoiding tortuous commutes and have found extra time for personal and work pursuits, these changes have also led to concerns about employee health and wellbeing, and organisations' ability to monitor these areas in a remote context. This session builds awareness of the key health and wellbeing challenges to home working and provides the tools and skills to overcome them and to build optimum health

The webinar will be run by Nick Thomas of Nick Thomas & Associates

Content and Learning:

  • Research on key wellbeing challenges to remote working including 'burnout' and social isolation.
  • Understanding the stress response and the Autonomic Nervous System
  • The stress response and modern life
  • The types of stress and how the balance of these stressors impacts the Autonomic Nervous System
  • Strategies to improve our health and resilience in the remote/hybrid world, including the 'four doctors’ and their connection to the stress response
