The Essex Way starts at Epping Tube station and continues for 81.4 miles to the High Lighthouse in Harwich. Walk, run or cycle at your own pace to cover the distance between 1st January and 29th February. Completing the Virtual Route Once you have signed up we will send you an email with a tracker to help you log your distances and instructions on how to keep us updated on your progress. Kieran Mote, published author and director of the Sports Rehab Lab (SRL) based in Southend, will be sending out periodic blogs and hints and how to get and stay active in the new year as part of this event to those who register. Our President, Caroline Martin, has chosen Little Havens Hospice as our charity of the year. Little Havens have provided support for Caroline's sister and nephew Axel who has a rare genetic condition. We would appreciate any donations to this wonderful cause: IICSE is fundraising for Little Havens Children's Hospice (justgiving.com) Little Havens Hospice When a child has been diagnosed with a complex or incurable condition, Little Havens can provide the care they need. Their specialist Care Team can support them and their family throughout illness, death and bereavement, in the comfort of their own home or at their hospice. They focus on their quality of life, caring for individual physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual needs, "making every day count". Little Havens must raise over £52,000 each week to be there for every baby, child and teenager who needs them which is why every donation matters. Many thanks, Lorraine
