Enabling Women's Careers - Overcoming Imposter Syndrome
Join us for the July Women's forum session to Enable Womens Careers This session will be Live-Online on Zoom. It will not be recorded as we aim to create a safe space for members to express themselves, network and grow. These sessions are for all levels of PFS and CII and future topics will be established from member feedback within the group. The sessions are facilitated by Caroline who is a Certified Coach and NLP Trainer, however, these sessions are an exploration for all and so please bring your top tips to share with other members of the group and be open to explore and encourage eachother. Summer Meet up 2023
The Insurance Institute of Chelmsford and South Essex Summer Meet up is open to members and non members of the Insurance and Financial Services profession and will be hosted by Sam and Tom from our Young Professionals Group. Enabling Your Inner Critic
As humans we are hard wired to search for danger. In the modern world, where there are no saber tooth tigers, this is not always helpful and can hold us back from achieving. Join us for this Live-Online and fully interactive session on Zoom where Caroline will share her some practical tips on how you can retrain your inner critic and set yourself up for success. After the main theory aspect of the session you will have the opportunity to work with others in a very short break out where you will be invited to meet others in the group and put the theory into practice. If you are able to have your camera on this will be an added bonus for others in the group. This session is suitable for all levels of development and is for all CII and PFS Members.

Human v Automated Decision-Making: have we gone too far?
We have reached a critical crossroads in the digitisation and automation of processes within insurance and financial services. Some say that we have already gone too far and the human element is being continuously eroded, whereas others believe we have not gone far enough and that insurance and financial services continues to lag behind other professions. There is a fine balance to be struck. Based on doctoral research being conducted by Jeff Heasman and other sources of research and industry insights, this thought-provoking webinar will examine both sides of the debate and suggest a way forward to ensure the best possible outcome for the profession and for our clients. With the new Consumer Duty requiring a review of algorithms to test for bias in decision-making, the debate has never been more relevant.

MO5 Insurance Law – 1 day - Face to Face Masterclass
The Masterclass will focus on key areas of the M05 syllabus & the two aspects of Mixed Assessment: Coursework & the Multiple-choice exam components. For the CII Diploma (GI) both components need to be passed within 18 months of enrolment. For the Coursework component, we will focus on coursework techniques to help you to adopt the required mindset for coursework, which differs from CII exams. Candidates often struggle taking the step up from Certificate to Diploma. We will consider what good looks like to the CII & how to turn a blank template into a finished assignment. For the Exam component, we will look to help candidates become more confident about sitting the Insurance Law exam, by mastering effective study & exam techniques.
