IIC&G presents the annual State of the Economy address from The Bank of England. Attendees will get an up-to-date overview as to the state of the economy and an insight into the workings of the Monetary Policy Committee (which in turn controls the economy).

I am honoured to be taking on the position of President of the Insurance Institute of Cheltenham & Gloucester. I look forward to collaborating with the ever-hardworking Council members to provide a great experience for our 2,000+ members. Following an excellent President in Zoe Davis, I’m sure the coming year will be awesome!

My chosen charity is the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity (GWAAC). I decided to choose one that anyone could need at any time – it’s astonishing how much money it takes (£4m+ per year) to keep the helicopter in the air, and even more astonishing that there is no government funding for such a vital service, so it is funded entirely through the community and public donations.
