IGS GOLF DAY FOR THE INSURANCE CHARITIES FUND
Despite a very unsettling week of weather leading upto Friday, we got almost perfect conditions to play a very interesting and picturesque course where if you could keep out of the rough, rewards were there for you.
Some very good scoring saw Sam Hudson win The Tom Jump Cup with a fantastic score of 44 points with a countback needed to determine Andy Peyton in 2nd place with 37 points ahead of David Black also on 37.
9 other golfers also scored 30 points or more and special mentions to Richard Cook (36) and Steve Knight (35)
The team award went to The A Team being Andy, Sam, David and Andy Cox with an average of 36.5 with the 2nd and 3rd placed teams only separated by 1 point 31.25 against 30.25.
Our Captain’s day got even better when he picked up Nearest the Pin and Longest Drive ..congratulations Andy
The £275 raised for The Insurance Charites will be passed onto them as they head towards their dedicated week of fundraising
