Food Safety, Product Liability, Product Recall & Risk Management
IICG is delighted to be presenting a session on “Food Safety, Product Liability, Product Recall & Risk” giving examples of some rather stupendous claims in the Asia Region, but delivered in a relatively light-hearted manner by our guest speaker.
Simon is a native of Cheltenham and Gloucester and earned his ACII qualification whilst working for the now defunct Mercantile & General Reinsurance Company; gaining his ACII in 1985 and earning the Cheltenham Institute Prize for the Best Associateship Result in the process.
Simon joined Charles Taylor in June 2015. He has >24 years’ experience in Asia, with his mandate comprising the handling of complex, technical and special risks and the development of CTA’s Technical & Special Risks team across Asia.
Simon is a Chartered Loss Adjuster BSc, FCII, FCILA, FUEDI-ELAE, with >34 years’ experience handling large-scale insurance losses worldwide, which have included substantial Contractors and Engineering (all Risks), Property Damage, Public and Product Liability, Financial Services and Marine Cargo Claims.
Simon helped to establish the first International Adjusting office in the People’s Republic of China and has managed Adjusting and Engineering divisions on designated insurance accounts in the U.K., Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Singapore, and China. He has handled some of the largest product liability and recall losses in China, most of them with international repercussions, and he considers Product Liability and Product Recall his speciality.
At the end of this session, delegates will have looked at and understood Product Liability (multiple claims and single claim scenario) and Product Contamination and Recall incidents being the problems associated and the lessons that can be learnt from such incidents.
The session will start at 1230pm and finish at 130pm. Our normal refreshments and buffet will be available from 12pm. Full disabled access continues to be available and free car parking is available on site.
