IIC&G WEBINAR : Choosing your investment style- one size does not fit all
For this CPD webinar, we are pleased to welcome Chris Warren from Brooks Macdonald who will provide a useful look at the different methods of accessing a wide range of asset classes.
He will show practical examples of the advantages /challenges faced by both passive and active investment approaches alike in the current environment.
We will examine the need for thorough research to examine both investment approaches, in order to safeguard against risks around concentration, unintended exposure and the very different outcomes that can potentially occur from using similarly named/titled instruments.
We will spend time contrasting passive and active approaches to bond investing and show how the passive universe is expanding to include much more choice for investors.
Finally we will look at the important issue of alternative assets classes and how they may be accessed in portfolios.
This webinar is available to all and will have most relevance to our Financial Advisers, Professional Investment, Principals, Researchers, Paraplanning and Illustrator members.
Learning Objectives
- Discover the different ways of accessing various asset classes, particularly as regards Passive and Active Investment approaches
- Understand the risks present in both approaches, across a range of asset classes, and that one singular approach may not be appropriate at all times or in all markets.
- Identify the benefits of adopting a flexible approach to multi asset investing when balancing investor objectives.
