CPD WEBINAR: The “purpose of duty” and a major new approach to professional negligence claims from the Supreme Court

Wednesday, 17 November 2021
12:00 pm – 1:00 pm (UK time)
    • Jeff Heasman

Earlier this year, the Supreme Court, consisting of seven justices, handed down judgment in two cases (Manchester Building Society v Grant Thornton UK LLP and Khan v Meadows). These are two major decisions that will have a major impact on anyone who provides professional services and how claims should be approached.

The Supreme Court has created a new roadmap and provided guidance on this area of law that will have major ramifications.

This session will take you through the decisions of the Supreme Court and provide guidance on how providers of professional services should be taking steps now to mitigate the risk of claim being made against them, as well as looking at how the decisions will impact claims.

This webinar will be delivered in a Zoom format. Joining instructions will be issued 48 hours before the webinar. Please contact the event organise tim.chandler@ageas.co.uk with any questions. We will be recording the event but you must book online in advance to receive a recording. Please do not share the Zoom link with anyone else
