Charity – Caring for Communities and People
All monies raised from the dinner’s raffle prize draw will go to our chosen Charity, Caring for Communities and People (CCP).
CCP is a fantastic charity, whose goals are to prevent the causes and reduce the effects of homelessness, family breakdown and exclusion. From their hamper scamper appeal, which organises Christmas presents for children who would not otherwise receive them, to their pantry project. An alternative to traditional food banks, where members can choose from healthy and fresh food and essential household items to the value of approximately £15, for £3.50 a week. By visiting the Pantry each week, the CCP support workers can develop a relationship with the clients and signpost them to other services that can supply debt advice, housing advice, mental health, and family support. These are just a small number of services that CCP offer, more information can be found at https://www.ccp.org.uk/
We are also fundraising for them in various activities throughout the year, please visit our Just Giving page if you would like to donate and support IIC&G in their fundraising activities. Zoe Davis is fundraising for Caring for Communities and People (justgiving.com)
