Dweck is one of the world’s leading researchers in the field of motivation and is a professor of Psychology at Stratford University. Her research focused on why people succeed and how to foster success. The Chimp Mind Management Model was created by Prof Steve Peters who is best known for his motivational work for British cycling, England’s footballers and Team GB stars. The model, which is also used by leading businesses, is based on scientific facts and principles to help you develop yourself and choose your emotions around everyday situations.

Jim Glocking will give the annual IICG Fire Risk and Prevention presentation Jim is the Director of RISC Authority and Technical Director of the Fire Protection Association. His career has been varied, ranging from lecturing in Chemical Engineering and Fire Safety Engineering, working as a Forensic Fire Investigator, Head of Projects at BRE/LPC, including large scale fire testing. More recently at the FPA, Jim has continued to undertake research into fire protection with particular emphasis on risk avoidance, reduction and management. Jim will speak about Grenfell and the issues arising from it, along with the changes that he hopes will follow
