The Edinburgh Insurance society of Edinburgh are delighted to welcome JoJo Fraser our next CPD event around Mental Health in the workplace to coincide with Mental Health Awareness Day Thursday 10th October is Mental Health awareness day, and to help promote and discuss all things around Mental Health in the workplace, we have decided to have JoJo Fraser to be our guest speaker. JoJo will discuss why we shouldn't be afraid discussing Mental Health in the workplace and squashing the stigma around this subject, whilst at the same time, putting a fun spin on it. Jojo Fraser is a motivational writer, speaker and presenter who helps people get their mojo back. She has been a mental health researcher for a decade and loves to put an entertaining spin on things, making topics around wellness, lifestyle and mental health current, accessible and relatable.

After the success of last year’s event Liberton Golf Club have kindly offered to host this year’s Golf Day Texas Scramble, which will be held Friday 6th September from 8.30am Thanks to our sponsor this year, Downing, we are happy to announce that we are going to be offering you Morning Rolls on arrival, followed by a short CPD session from Partner Tony Sime focusing on Estate Planning using Business Relief. We sell many different liability insurance policies to customers every day; Motor, Employers Liability, Public Liability, Products liability, D&O, Professional Indemnity, Cyber Liability and more - what are we protecting the customers against, well it is largely being protected against being sued in the law of tort. Therefore, brokers, underwriters and claims staff alike should understand the law of tort, as failure to understand this means protections may be inadequate and a fair presentation of risk may not occur.
