    • Christian Markwick, Head of Adviser Support, The Verve Group

Teams link to be sent the day before the session by Teresa Atal

This will come from theresa.atal@tfagroup.co.uk

Session Overview:

In November, the FCA published its long-awaited “Sustainability Disclosure Requirements (SDR) and Investment Labels’ policy statement” – with the aim of ensuring that financial products marketed as sustainable do not mislead consumers.

This is an important moment for our industry, one that will help customers navigate a complex landscape and ultimately combat greenwashing.

Christian will outline the new anti-greenwashing rules and the four new sustainability labels, discussing what they will mean for investors and how the regulation should help restore industry confidence.

He will also cover the basics of what is expected in terms of disclosures and due diligence, the important role of financial advisers, and where they can find more support on the subject of SDR.

Learning objectives

Areas discussed during the session will include:

  • Identify the four new FCA Sustainability Labels
  • Discuss the timeline for implementation and the potential impact of SDR regulation on involved parties
  • Summarise the new anti-greenwashing rules and how they should help restore industry confidence
