CII Annual Dinner
Once again members of the Insurance Institute of Exeter gathered for our annual black tie dinner event.
The County Suite was awash with a sea of colour as ladies were certainly dressed to impress and who doesn't love a man in their black tie attire.
Thanks to Jeff Heasman, who as well as delivering regular CPD training sessions also sponsored our welcome drink.
Our outgoing president, Claire Lashbrook Dip CII, started the formalities with a speech which was relevant and not too long. Beginning the evening with a toast and thanked colleagues on the council for their support during her presidency.
Thank you to David Ross (Vice President for Local Institutes of the Chartered Insurance Institute), our guest speaker for his speech thanking Claire Lashbrook for her work during her three year term recognising the our Exeter Institutes achievements.
Congratulations to Adam Field of William Highbourne Wealth Management who won this years David Grimley Award, which was kindly sponsored by Mark Fowles of DWF. (Adam is pictured with Mark Fowles)
We were delighted to have Sylvia Jane join us, she took to the stage and presented the Porter Prize to Lucy Ngapo.
Once again we supported United Against Dementia as our chosen charity and are pleased to confirm that we raised £1,672.50 net of gift aid. Thank you to everyone who supported.
The four course meal catered for all with vegetarian and vegan options added. Fun times were enjoyed using the props at the South West Photo Booth. The bar remained busy long after the table wine was enjoyed.
The band had everyone on their feet and singing along with them until late.
