Glasgow Insurance Industry Tour

The Insurance Society of Glasgow will shortly be holding a tour of the local insurance industry for Glasgow school pupils interested in a career in Risk.

The ‘industry tour’ will visit a number of key organisations across Glasgow and provide attendees with an overview of our profession and the local market; as well as advice on possible career paths and job opportunities.

Pupils will have time to ask employees why and how they started their own careers in insurance and what they particularly love (and even hate) about their roles.

The day is being ran by The Insurance and Actuarial Society’s Careers Secretary Ashley Newton who commented: “It was my desire when I joined the IASG council to bring a great visibility of what our profession can offer both school and university leavers. This tour shows first-hand the length and breadth of our profession and will hopefully allow delegates to seriously think about a career that can offer them so many benefits and opportunities.”
