An Introduction to Marine Insurance
The Professional Development Group of the IASG are delighted to announce that their next seminar will aim to deliver a better understanding of the covers provided by Cargo, Transit and Haulage Insurance.
Learning objectives:
By attending this event delegates will be able to identify:
- the unique terminology/concepts that attach to this class of business
- the meanings behind institute cargo clauses and terms of sale
- the principal differences between RHA/FTA/CME
The presentation will be run by Alan Scholes BA (hons), ACII, Regional Manager of NMU. Alan joined NMU in 2004 as a Trainee Underwriter and progressed through the ranks to become Regional Manager in 2013. He currently leads a team that specialise in Marine Cargo, Freight Liability and Engineering/Construction risks. NMU are a service company of Munich Re Syndicate Ltd who are multiple winners of the Underwriting Service Awards “Transport and Cargo Team of the Year” having secured this award in 2012, 2014 and 2015.
The seminar will be followed by tea, coffee and a sandwich lunch.
