Club FS & PFS Central Scotland Annual Christmas Lunch

Club FS and PFS Central Scotland are pleased to announce the date for our annual Christmas Lunch which will again take place at the prestigious Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow on Thursday 8th December.

By far the standout networking event in Glasgow for our profession with valuable business relationships forged year on year.

Tables cost £360 for 8 people and the single seat price is £45.

We are currently offering a couple of discounts for those booking prior to 31 October 2016:

£330 per table of 8 or £400 per table of 10.

As always we will be raising funds for the fabulous work of Abercorn School and will be entertained by the Abercorn Band.

Our after lunch speaker this year is John McKelvie who's patter will also keep your guests entertained.

A native of the Lanarkshire mining village of Holytown, John joined the Police Service in 1971. He retired in 2001 from Strathclyde Police after 30 years service - he had to as his first notebook was full! Prior to retiral he was Superintendent at Govan - a quaint little fishing village on the banks of the Clyde! His colleagues often referred to him as “cruel but fair”.

He joined Lanarkshire Referees' Association in 1970. His refereeing career has seen him officiate at Scottish Amateur Cup Finals at youth and amateur level.

As his accolades imply, his true and extremely funny refereeing anecdotes allied to stories gathered from 30 years in Strathclyde Police continue to enrich and entertain the after dinner circuit, and hopefully will do so for many years to come.
