The IASG Professional Development Group are happy to announce that their next lunchtime seminar will focus on issues affecting the Marine / Goods in Transit insurance market.
In 2018 Lloyds of London reviewed in detail the worst performing 10% of each syndicate’s portfolio. They called this the ‘Decile 10’. One of the areas identified was Marine / Goods in Transit and in this seminar we will hear from Graeme Blackie of Sedgwick Marine UK on some of the issues which have had an impact on the Marine market and the changing market conditions.

Speaker Biography:
Graeme Blackie ACII ACILA is head of Sedgwick Marine UK and part of the Sedgwick Marine Global SPG. Graeme has 30 years experience as a loss adjuster and has specialised in Marine and Transit losses since 1991. During this time he has investigated claims throughout the UK, Europe and the Americas. In addition he has worked with colleges through the world on various Marine losses.
Claims investigated include simple Thefts and RTA’s along with more complicated fraud, carousel claims and E&O losses.
Graeme is knowledgeable in his subject and is called upon often to present to Insurance institutes brokers and market events.
