Insurance Development Day - 4th February 2020
The Insurance Institute of Guernsey is holding an Insurance Development Day at Les Cotils on Tuesday 4th February.
The programme for the day includes a range of technical and soft skills. The key note speaker is Liam Russell, Legal Director of the Chartered Insurance Institute, who will give an update on activities at the CII and talk on professional and ethical standards, particularly in reference to customers. We are also pleased to have a representative of the Guernsey Blind Association, the President’s charity for this year, to talk to us on the work it does in Guernsey and dealing with vulnerable customers.
The programme can be found here
All of you will be aware that all qualified members need to complete a minimum of 35 hours of compulsory CPD each year (of which at least 21 hours must be structured CPD). Failure to maintain these levels of CPD places at risk your qualifications and professional standing. Our Insurance Development Day will provide attendees at least six hours of structured CPD.
There will also be a networking opportunity after the event over a glass of wine or a beer.
The Insurance Institute of Guernsey is in the fortunate position of being able to subsidise this event and so we are able to retain the fees at the same level as previous years:
Full Day including refreshments and lunch CII/PFS members £35 / non-members £45
Morning including refreshments (no lunch) CII/PFS members £20 / non-members £25
Afternoon including refreshments (no lunch) CII/PFS members £20 / non-members £25
Registration is open now and the registration form is available using this link
Closing date for registrations Wednesday 29 January.
We are confident that the Insurance Development Day will provide a valuable contribution to achieving and maintaining CPD requirements and we hope that you and your employers will be able to support this event.
