Our January speaker is Nigel Brand, CEO at Neon Sapphire.

Nigel Brand has in excess of 35 years of experience in Professional Financial Services, starting as a broker then claims management and underwriting. Nigel moved from London in 2013 and set up Sapphire in Guernsey.

Key Learning Points:

  • Provide a basic understanding of Who or What is responsible for the seismic shift in appetite towards certain Territories and Professions?
  • Give insight into why premiums / terms have moved so quickly
  • What drives the Carriers / shareholders in the insurance market

The talk will take place at Moore's Hotel on Wednesday 20th January at 12.30pm. (£12 for members of the Insurance Institute of Guernsey and £14 for non-members). Please do remember that the attendance fee is payable whether lunch is taken or not.

Please feel free to encourage non-member colleagues to attend should this be an area of interest but, please note, members of the Insurance Institute of Guernsey will receive priority in the event of capacity being reached.

Attendance will provide 30 minutes of Structured CPD under the Chartered Insurance Institute's CPD scheme.

In booking your place(s) please provide your name, company, confirm if you are a member of the IIG or not, and advise should you require a vegetarian meal. Please note that vegetarian meals need to be pre ordered and cannot be ordered on the day. Please also inform us if you have any other special requirements that we can assist with. Should you cancel attendance after 15th of January the attendance fee remains payable. If you cannot stay for lunch, it would be appreciated if you can advise us when reserving your place at the lecture.
