November Lunch
Our November speakers will be Mark Elliott and Adele Gale
Mark has spent nearly two decades working in the insurance industry, working on a range of clients and structures. Now Chairman of the Guernsey International Insurance Association, Mark is ACII qualified and is currently CEO of a reinsurance Company based in the Island.
Adele joined Robus in February 2020 and manages a portfolio of clients alongside consulting on the setup of new vehicles.
Adele is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants with more than 10 years’ experience in insurance management. She has sat as a director on a number of captives providing property, cyber, employee benefits and employers liability, PI and D&O cover to their parent entities.
During 2020 Adele worked with GIIA to develop the first domicile ESG Framework for insurers and has lead ESG initiatives at Robus transforming the business to be more sustainable.
GIIA’s ESG Framework for insurers is being talked about in boardrooms all around the Island and far beyond. Its creators Mark Elliott and Adele Gale are excited to have the opportunity to speak about it, their thought processes in its development and their plans for future development.
The lunchtime learning session will:
- introducing the framework
- explaining its constituent parts and
- promoting adoption of it.
The talk will take place at Moore's Hotel on Wednesday 24th November at 12.30pm. (£12 for members of the Insurance Institute of Guernsey and £14 for non-members). Please do remember that the attendance fee is payable whether lunch is taken or not.
Please feel free to encourage non-member colleagues to attend should this be an area of interest but, please note, members of the Insurance Institute of Guernsey will receive priority in the event of capacity being reached.
