Reports of alleged computer crime have been a hot news item of late! These seminars provide an introduction to cyber and data risks, and how a business can protect themselves through insurance against cyber and data losses.

The seminars will also address the issues faced by the insurance market in placing cyber and data risks.

By the end of this seminar, participants will better understand:

•What Cyber insurance is - the types of policies available and the different elements of a cyber policy.

•Data protection– overview of the General Data Protection Regulation and how this will affect the cyber insurance market.

•Cyber crime – types of events insurance may cover and an overview of some recent high profile cases,

•Issues faced by the insurance market by cyber and data risks.

Sheona is a Partner in the professional indemnity and commercial insurance group based in the London office. Her experience with cyber claims includes advising insurers on claims and coverage issues involving social engineering and fraud in relation to professional services firms; as well as reviewing policy wordings. She has spoken at seminars about cyber crime and the risk management and insurance solutions available to combat this.

Hannah is a Senior Associate in the DWF London office. She started her legal career in-house with a large insurer and has continued to work with professional indemnity insurers over the years, enjoying a number of secondments. Hannah has experience in dealing with claims involving a variety of professions across the financial services sector. She is experienced in dealing with cyber claims, being the first point of contact for claim notifications on a number of books of cyber liability business, advising insurers on coverage and liability issues.
