Networking is a great tool in career progression when used effectively. As such, the Guildford Young Professionals Council have arranged for Lara Squires, Director at Consortium Business and seasoned networker to give her top tips and tricks on how to make the most of networking events, even when you are an experienced networker.

The session is open to those starting out on their networking journey, who have experience in networking and/or those who are yet to see any results from attending networking events.

As well as presenting and answering your queries Lara will be around after the presentation for networking drinks, allowing you to put into practice what you’ve just learnt!

Lara Squires has worked in professional services for the past 10 years, gaining a real insight into the challenges faced by the sector, and how to overcome these using a mix of sales and marketing tools. Areas of expertise include, marketing strategy, communication plans, business development, sales training and mentoring.

Lara has an innate confidence which enables her to get in front of the right people and create new business opportunities. Lara holds the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s (CIM) Postgraduate Diploma and is a Chartered Marketer; she is an experienced sales professional who is inspired by helping companies achieve their business goals.
