>> Event Overview

Financial advice is simple – but that does not mean it is easy!

Back in 2006, the Retail Distribution Review was launched by our regulator with several objectives – one being the removal of commission from investment products. This lead to a mass of work by all manner of bodies guiding advisers in how to make their businesses more efficient in order to remain profitable. This included the suggestion that embracing social media, telephone and video conferencing along with other suggestions could reduce the need for travel and therefore reduce the time taken to communicate effectively with both clients and prospects.

On the whole, it didn’t catch on!! Until now.

Our profession has needed to change for many years and as a result of the sad and worrying world that we are currently operating in, the delivery of advice and ongoing service has been revolutionised – but it is not ideal.

The basics remain the same – but the delivery of high quality, relevant and personalised financial advice has and will continue to embrace modern technology, just as was predicted in 2006.
