Lloyds Tour
>> Event Overview
We are delighted to announce another tour of the iconic and award-winning building this October; and due to previous high demand, have secured the potential for 20 participants to join us on the day!
Designed by leading architect Lord Rogers, the Lloyd's building is world renowned and arguably the centre of the global insurance industry. It is also not open to the general public, so do not miss this chance to explore this striking post-modern building and see its famous underwriting floor.
>> Learning Objectives
By the end of the presentation and tour, participants will:
- Understand Lloyd’s unique and colourful past, from its early days in Edward Lloyd’s coffee house, to the historical events that changed the face of Lloyd’s forever.
- Recognise how Lloyd’s the Corporation and Lloyds Market work together, the chain of security and participants in the market.
- Know how risk is placed, the type of things that Lloyds insure and what makes Lloyd’s such an attractive place to do business.
- Appreciate the significance of the Loss Book, Lutine Bell, and Nelson Collection. Visitors will also travel in the external lifts to see the Adam Room (provided this is open on the day) and other historical details on Gallery 11. The Tour takes one hour.
>> Cost
