Halifax Institute Quiz Night 2019
The No Hopers, Andrew Keighley, Chris Newsham, Ruth & Phil Osborne, were hoping to improve on their 4th place at last year's quiz.
They made a great start and lead after the first round but had dropped back to 3rd behind Judge Fudge & the Arbiters and Brighter by Name But Not by Nature, by the half way break.
The buffet supper obviously replenished their little grey cells & gave them renewed hope as they scored the highest in the remaining rounds to become the 2019 champions and winners of the Martyn Foulds memorial trophy.
The Brighter team finished in second place followed by Judge Fudge in 3rd.
A charity raffle raised £75 for local charity Mothershare which provides help to families in Calderdale.
